Meet Katrina aka “Trina” Sudol! Linguistic Horizons is pleased to welcome Katrina into our 5 week summer internship and Spanish immersion in A Coruña, Spain program! Trina is looking forward to improving her Spanish skills through immersion and interning with a nonprofit organization!

What motivated you to choose Spain for your study abroad destination?
I’ve been studying Spanish in school for as long as I can remember and love the language; so, I really wanted to study abroad in a Spanish-speaking country. I’m excited to improve my Spanish fluency and experience their culture while I’m there!

What are your future career goals?
I’m still not completely certain what I’ll end up doing after college; but, I’d love to work in language processing at a tech company or become a teacher.

What are some of the things/places on your bucket list?
One place on my bucket list is Budapest. And one thing on my bucket list is living in a tiny house!

What organizations are you involved in on campus?
I tutor two 5th grade students each week through a community outreach program called Ninos, Cambios, Puertas. I’m also a DJ for KWUR, my school’s radio station; so, I host an hour-long show each week, where I play a wide variety of music.

What’s your favorite word, or saying, in Spanish?
“Que será, será.”
