Meet Drake Johnson from Carroll College in Helena, Montana! This summer, Drake will be joining our ten week Summer Study Spanish & Intern in Spain program! Get to know more about Drake in this short interview.
What motivated you to apply for this program?
“My motivation for participating in this program was because most of the other programs that I found were in larger cities where English was their second language. I know I don’t have a lot of time to be in Spain; so, I wanted to go somewhere that spoke a lot of Spanish and not a lot of English. I will only have the 10 weeks to be in Spain; and, I want to get the most out of my trip as I can. “
What motivated you to choose Spain?
“I was motivated to choose Spain because I got to go to Spain once before for my Senior trip. I loved the country; and, I loved Europe. This was my chance to come back to travel Europe again.”
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
“Track and Field and Cross country.”
What are your future career goals?
“I would like to be a teacher in a bilingual elementary school; because, I feel that it is important to learn another language to help make our big world a smaller place.”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“To travel to all the Spanish Speaking countries.”
