Meet Adrian Carrasco from Grand Valley State University! This summer, Adrian will be joining our Spanish Immersion Study Abroad in Spain program! We look forward to welcoming him in A Coruña!
What motivated you to apply for this program?
“My main motivation for participating in this program is to be able to enhance my interpersonal skills with different cultures.”
What motivated you to choose Spain?
“Since I was a kid, I have always seen pictures of Spain and always thought it was beautiful. I thought it would be cool if I were to study abroad in Spain to get a different perspective, and also just being able to speak only Spanish outside of the classroom.”
What organizations are you involved in on campus?
“On campus I was given the opportunity to work for the informational technology dept. and able to secure my position as a resident assistant. As a resident assistant I connect freshmen with resources on campus. I am also a resource of support considering most freshmen are living away from their parents for the first time. I’m also involved with LSU (Latino Student Union) to get a better understanding of my culture and to connect with others of the same background.”
What are your future career goals?
“In the future I would love to work with Google!”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“There are so many things on my bucket list but the top three would have to be, visit all 50 states, finding a job that I enjoy and that can keep me financially stable, and having the courage to go skydiving.”
