Meet Caylee Combs from University of Findlay! This summer, Caylee will be joining our Summer Study Spanish & Intern in Spain program! We look forward to welcoming her in A Coruña!
Tell us more about you. “I am a junior at the University of Findlay majoring in Animal Science: Pre-vet and English Equestrian Studies.”
What motivated you to apply for this program? “I am participating in this program to improve my understanding of Spanish language, culture, and veterinary medicine in a real-world setting.”
What motivated you to choose Spain? “I want to study abroad in Spain to fully immerse myself in the Spanish language and deepen my understanding of Spanish culture. I also wanted the opportunity to explore surrounding countries, which I’ll be able to do easily (and affordably) in Europe.”
What organizations are you involved in on campus? “I am on the IHSA English Hunt Seat riding team at the University of Findlay. I am also a member of Pre-Vet Club, UF Birding Club, 4-Paws, and Delta Tau Alpha Agricultural Honors Society.”
What are your future career goals? “I plan on continuing my education to earn my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and then specializing in equine general practice.”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“I would love to learn how to sail and go scuba diving!”
What is your proudest accomplishment? “My proudest accomplishment is providing testimony to the Ohio Congress in support of Amendment HC0880X1 to House Bill 110, which passed and granted $2M in funding for the Believe in Ohio Student STEM Innovation and Scholarship program.”
