Meet Cecilia Duncan from Ohio University! This summer, Cecilia will be joining our Summer Study Spanish & Intern in Spain program! We look forward to welcoming her in A Coruña!
What motivated you to apply for this program?“I would love to become a better Spanish speaker and communicator. I also plan on a career involving Spanish so this exposure will be incredible for my future goals.”
What motivated you to choose Spain?“There is something enchanting about the culture I have learned so much about that I would love to experience for myself. Plus, after studying the language and having simulated conversations for so long, it will be a welcome challenge to have natural exchanges on the fly.”
What organizations are you involved in on campus?“I will be graduating High School in May; but, some school organizations I am a part of currently are theatre, formal choir, and show choir.”
What are your future career goals? “A career goal of mine is to be able to travel to different Spanish-speaking countries and teach English, possibly becoming a translator later in life.”
What are some of the places/things on your bucket list?
“I would love to travel around Europe, visit all 50 states, and be in Times Square on New Year’s Eve.”
